The Loo

Another image from numerous captures I have done of an old

abondoned cell block, these particular buildings are part of the

outbuildings of a manor house dating to around 1795 and originally

these outbuildings were a convict station and later a reformatory at

which stage more modern ablutions were installed. I liked the light and

textures here , I know its a bit of a strange subject matter.

Jacques, I'm very fond of photograph the old and abandoned...and I find your picture very appealing. I like the fact that you composed the picture with the fixture ever so slightly off-center. love the contrast...the light striking the right side of the fixture...and the subtle tones.

Thanks again John - they are busy renovating the main house i I guess these will follow, as they have already started cleanups on them. Very sad as it is a great subject matter, of which there are very few left in cape town.
