Orthodox churches are shaped in the form of a greek cross, with the

sanctuary almost always oriented to the East. So, if you'll enter one

orhotox church at noon and the day is sunny outside, you'll most

probably be delighted to visualise the rays of light entering through

the windows, like a presence from above. You might even feel divine...

Picture taken inside the Church of the Holy Trinity, in the very

centre of Craiova, Romania. Initially dated 1768, it was restored from

the ground in 1890 under the direction of French architect Andre
