This has a nice 'Old Hollywood' feel to it; good choice for the b/w. I don't mind the lamp at all, in fact I think the background adds to the feel of her expression and the way you want her portrayed as a 'dutchess'. I like the way in which the pearls are wrapped about her wrist - it seems to suggest apprehension, like she would rather just stay home this evening. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)
