"Elemental"

Shot during the 2 min the sun poked through the clouds. And borrowing

a friends' 16-35 which is sooo wide and fun. Actually wasnt in danger

of getting splashed here :) Tried a new technique too which I will

see if you all can guess to see if I was successful in making it

believable.

Beautiful capture, Aaron. I would think you must have used a form of fill-flash for this (with a strobe, perhaps) to give detail to the rocks and surf. Your new technique?

Nope Paul...though that would have to be an intense fill! The 1ds3 files are super dense with data which allows for some great post work.

 

The trick here was to 'make' the sun as the sky was too blown in that area...I cloned in the yellow more and more to make a circle 'sun'. Seems to have worked!
