birteragland 1 Posted January 30, 2010 We stayed in this village for a couple of days, the people were so friendly, especially this dear old grandma, who asked to have her photo taken with everything she owned, these were her new sunglasses that her grandson had given her. Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted January 31, 2010 Really nice and candid portrait. I like the way she kept the sticker on the glasses, poor people often do that to show something that they consider has great value. What a smile on that face. Regards - michel Link to comment

edgarrogerio 0 Posted February 26, 2011 I first saw your photos. After I saw that text in place of his biography. Birte, you, especially in the photos from India, show your look and your soul. It is sad photos, poor people, poverty explicitly. The human being appears in its most fragile, most despoiled, sometimes more agonizing facet.I fully share your view about the dangers of our time. I also agree that what man is doing does not reveal intelligence, but stupidity. I must say that you can achieve your goal in showing these pictures. They annoy us. I myself do not like to stare a lot. Is anger. But I wonder if in India we find only misery, ugliness and neglect. Just what this country has? Because many people are limited to reporting this kind of thing when they go there. Would you admit that your looking, more critical and realistic manner, may slip into a simplistic cliche? This is not a criticism. It is a question of who admires his work. Hugs Link to comment
