alfbailey 3 Posted January 26, 2010 Thank you so much for those kind comments and understanding observations. Some wise person once told me that photography wasn't so much about capturing a great subject, but more usually about capturing any subject in the best light and conditions, I think they were right. I know of a few more locations that will need second, third or maybe more visits in order to catch them at thier best, and it is with such great help and encouragement from yourself and others that makes the quest such an absolute pleasure! Thanks Gail Kind Regards Alf Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted January 27, 2010 RAMON Thanks for stopping by, and commenting, there isn't many places in the UK that haven't been photographed a thousand times or more, but I haven't seen any photo's of this particular little corner of heaven, it really is a quiet peaceful place. lizweisiger 0 Posted January 28, 2010 Alf, I really like this. I don't understand the title, because I think this is a beautiful scene. I like the light on the beautiful house and the softness of the water. It's the kind of place I would love to explore. Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted January 28, 2010 Thanks for stopping by, and for your very kind comments I'm really pleased you like it. The title is just a play on words "Pretty" refers to the cottage and the surroundings whilst "Wrecked" refers to the bits of timbers that you can see sticking out of the water which is in fact a very old wrecked boat, it is a really outstanding area of natural beauty on the island of Anglesey off the coast of North Wales Warm Regards Alf Link to comment

trisha jean-angela 5 Posted February 1, 2010 This is a beautiful image; it is obvioulsy winter and so must be very cold, but you bring light and warmth to it...you must have caught it at the perfect time because those clouds are dark yet light is shining down on the house. Very lovely, thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted February 3, 2010 Thanks for looking in, and for your kind comments. I was lucky with this shot, in as much as the sun was behind me and to the right, so that it illumunated the scene quite nicely, but with enough cloud present to soften the harshness that winter sun sometimes brings.. vancouverphotographer 1 Posted February 4, 2010 Lovely scene ... I haven't been as patient as you and I could never get the top and bottom parts just right ... great job on this. Link to comment
