rbctvguy 0 Posted February 11, 2003 Love the composition, love the light especially. The colors are great, and the detail looks good too. The only problem I see is that it looks just *slightly* crooked. Regardless, this is a nice image. Link to comment
slide 0 Posted February 13, 2003 I printed this the other day but stopped short of framing it. I was overcome with some type of bracket-mania on a recent Death Valley trip and took 4+ rolls at these salt flats b/n a sunset and sunrise and have looked at them a bit too much I think. Are the salt patterns strong enough to stand on their own as a foreground? Thanks, slide Link to comment

barmijo 0 Posted February 14, 2003 The salt patterns make a very strong pattern and a wonderful pattern fading into the distance. Link to comment
marty_pelletier 0 Posted February 14, 2003 Good stuff, wish it were mine! terrific colors and nice use of filter, almost totally unnoticeable.not sure horizon is askew but somehow the left foreground seems a tiny bit sloped, awesome shot though! Link to comment
al_alicelebic1 0 Posted February 14, 2003 slide, i simply love your stuff. all of your photos look so surreal and outta this world. love this one. great job! Al. Link to comment
robert_tilden1 0 Posted February 14, 2003 The Singh-Ray filter and wide angle applied well. I especially like the effect of the graduated filter in that the forground is bright. Reminds me of Galen Rowells work. Hope you had a chance to visit the Rowell Gallery in Bishop; it was a mememorable experience. Link to comment
monicariveiro 0 Posted February 14, 2003 Gorgeous light and composition. Little more to add, all in this shot is well done. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted March 18, 2003 This is beautiful work; I enjoy the whole folder but I think the depth of this, with so interesting a fg swings this particular shot for me. Cheers. Link to comment
marshall 0 Posted May 6, 2003 I quite like the overall effect of this shot. It has the exaggerated perspective of wide angle well applied to an expansive, near-endless vista. As to whether the salt flats stand on their own, I suppose the rich sky color does balance the shot, but I find myself wishing for a little less of it so that the "endless" feel to the salt flats becomes more of the image. Very nice work. Enjoy. Link to comment
