Love the composition, love the light especially. The colors are great, and the detail looks good too. The only problem I see is that it looks just *slightly* crooked. Regardless, this is a nice image.

I printed this the other day but stopped short of framing it. I was

overcome with some type of bracket-mania on a recent Death Valley

trip and took 4+ rolls at these salt flats b/n a sunset and sunrise

and have looked at them a bit too much I think. Are the salt

patterns strong enough to stand on their own as a foreground?

Thanks,

Good stuff, wish it were mine!

terrific colors and nice use of filter, almost totally unnoticeable.not sure horizon is askew but somehow the left foreground seems a tiny bit sloped, awesome shot though!

The Singh-Ray filter and wide angle applied well. I especially like the effect of the graduated filter in that the forground is bright. Reminds me of Galen Rowells work. Hope you had a chance to visit the Rowell Gallery in Bishop; it was a mememorable experience.

This is beautiful work; I enjoy the whole folder but I think the depth of this, with so interesting a fg swings this particular shot for me. Cheers.

I quite like the overall effect of this shot. It has the exaggerated perspective of wide angle well applied to an expansive, near-endless vista. As to whether the salt flats stand on their own, I suppose the rich sky color does balance the shot, but I find myself wishing for a little less of it so that the "endless" feel to the salt flats becomes more of the image. Very nice work. Enjoy.
