hopsage 0 Posted January 17, 2010 I did a ten-day trip across southeastern Oregon in early June 2009. This area is part of the Basin and Range ecoregion, and it is Oregon's driest area. Out the 10 days, it rained, heavily, for 8 of them. A wonderful trip anyway, but pretty wet. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted January 18, 2010 This is a beautiful landscape photograph! Excellent composition and exposure. The lupine provides such a nice color contrast to the steel-blue stormy sky. Superb work, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 18, 2010 I've been here under clear skies, and any shot I took can't hold a candle to this. The dark storm clouds in the background provide a perfect backdrop and contrast to the lupine -- it really sets them off. If I managed a single photo like this, it would make the entire trip worth the effort. Link to comment
hopsage 0 Posted January 19, 2010 Pedro, Chris, and Stephen - Thank you. Stephen, you've been here? If so, do you have any of your images posted from this place? Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted January 20, 2010 That dramatic gray-blue sky can demand equal billing with the lupines in front. Tremendous scope to this image.....it's a real beauty! Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 20, 2010 John, the photos I've taken from the top just weren't very good. I had a couple posted earlier, but I've deleted them in the process of whittling down the number of photos in my files. Trust me, they weren't great. I've had better luck and more fun down on the Alvord. Link to comment
