Karl Schuler 48 Posted January 18, 2010 This is a terrific shot. Against all rules of physics. I guess the advertisements in the back are all about pain killers. Karl Link to comment

ralf_h 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Brilliant! An indeterminate moment in time riding between the verge of success and disaster. A cliffhanger to which the viewer may never know the outcome. Fantastic. Link to comment

piersing 0 Posted January 26, 2010 Great moment. But you have used 4:3 crop here. I think you can find better composition using 3:2 crop with horse above middle line.I have a question if I can. In this situation is better continuous shooting or try to find the right moment? Link to comment
mustard 0 Posted January 26, 2010 Captures the suspense of the moment beautifully. Great shot.I would also like to know what the prevailing wisdom is with regard to Continous shooting for an action shot. The nikon D80 I use has a pretty slow Continuous shooting mode (3fps) and I always find myself debating whether to try to capture in a single shot or take a chance and hope that one of the 2 or 3 frames in the sequence will be winners. As a newby to the photography scene I would really appreciate some advice. Thanks Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted January 26, 2010 Now, THIS is more like it, the sound, the dust cloud. If one listens closely, he can hear the heartbeat of the horse. Fine work, and as to the earlier question, continuous shooting is the ONLY way to gety a shot like this, unless one were to rely on luck. and, I like this crop well enough and can't imagine another crop working better.
