Luv this Svetlana!!! luv the glass effect of the window, and the city moving and swaying outside. Sooo clever, and aesthetically skillful! I'd hang it on my wall and look at it often! dp

Very well done. This image reminds me of what I think is coming for our planet.I don,t know what you meant to say in this but I see it as great floods of water destroying our cities, anyway I like it a lot.

Water gives life but can also destroy this life.

But this is just a winter fantasy of using water.

Thank you for your attention to my photos.

Svetlana.

a very strong abstract. This work reminds me of Kertész: he ended his photographic journey capuring what he saw through his window and through small glass objects: these are some of the most interesting distortions I have ever seen. And this photo is

another demonstration that sometimes (in not always) the best effects are those that we find in nature and not in software. I love the way you composed this one. Thanks for sharing, ciao, Giuseppe

Don't ever lose the digital file.

This is the best or among the best, and when I say 'the best' I don't mean just 'your best' but really 'the best', and worthy of being shown anywhere.

I would be pleased to produce in my lifetime just one such image, with such wonderful distortions, and such wonderful colors as well.

I'd blow this up real big if you feel like it -- it could as easily fit in a lobby of a giant corporation, as in an art gallery (Pinchuk?) or any other worthy gallery around the world (or museum).

I do mean it. I do NOT play payback in anyway, not ever; not in my entire stay on Photo.net, so you must have no doubt about the truth of what I write.

And I would tell anyone who inquired of me the truth I tell you (and the world) -- world class.

(That Giuseppe Pasquali already said it passed his muster should have been high enough praise, as he has highest standards . . . and is an exhibited and published photographer . . . who is missing briefly and we await his return to these pages with apprehension.)

You also have practiced what photo great Imogen Cummingham taught: If you are going to take photos, you can take same photos in your own backyard (now I can see you don't have an American suburdan or European suburban/urban 'backyard' but I think you get the point well. . . . .

My VERY BEST.

And if you happen to have a representative or another go to the Pinchuk or elsewhere with this or others, frankly it is almost above them; and when and if you feel you have two dozen such works ready, please contact me privately, and I can share what I have learned through gallery/museum/fine art 'contacts' (I think you know what I mean . . .and I offer it to you without 'strings'.

(Oh, and I would be very careful of how you make a major gallery level print of this in Kyiv. A Noritsu (photo service computer) print will not do it justice, and an Epson print to my eyes may be the best bet available in Kuiv (sorrofully, though Epsons are of very high quality, but they can be very very expensive as their ink costs about $10,000 a gallon = 3.74 liters.

I'll actually let you do the calculations but it is ochen doroga, and the first print almost never is the final print -- there are 'test strip; 'test prints,' 'proofs'' and other 'interim' prints that suck ink before the final print, for sometimes massive costs to get an exhibition quality print. (then matting and framing which must not be distracting)

If you know of a good Lightjet printer in Kyiv, please let me know, OK?

John (Crosley)

I don't rate 'fine art' which this is, but it would be a 7/7 and be an example of the best of the genre if I did (should there be any doubt.)

Thank you very much for such kind words!

I do not expect anything like this!

I really appreciate your opinion and your words to me are very pleasant!

Sveta, having just looked at Andrea de Bonis's "milano, navigli 1", i must tell you with all the esteem i have for Andrea's genius that i was reminded of your masterpiece "City behind my window" ;-} dp

now this is a terrific abstract! It looks almost like a painting. Is this due to natural icing on the glass of the window? Kind regards, Jan
