This is a time-lapse exposure of a busy city crowd moving through Grand Central

Station. The effect was created completely in-camera.

The woman seemed to be a lonely tourist waiting for someone to come rescue her.

She was so amazingly still that she looked afraid to even move.

I never saw anyone come, and she soon walked off by herself. I wish I could find her

now to give her this photo.

it's a very good image, for me, becouse when we see a quite long exp as this one, it's difficult to see a person well detailed. and here the woman ,in the most correct position, gives rythm to the photo and drive eyes in exploration of the frame, as if our eyes where his eyes Going from the woman to the wall, we are heped a lot. also the bw is good. bravo!

Oh yes, what a luck with still woman. I tried myself to do this kind of composition

in my city and it was a fiasco. Congrats for my heart .

Hi James

this image is a nice marriage of luck (because she did not move all the time) and skill, the time lapse is very well mastered here (to my eye, I'm not an expert in the technique). Well done!

The woman looks like a stranger trying to make out what the unknown world she's found herself in is all about. I read the scene as a meaningful picture of the loneliness on Planet Earth:-}.

Very memorable. I like when street photos tell a story. I know how she feels waiting there alone.
