We are posting this image because we have recieved many questions from other

photographers, how we do our "forest" shots...

1. The "motion blur" is made in camera, there are almost no PS. work in these

photographs.

2. We always use "manuel mode" in camera, and the main subjects are always

in focus before we start panning vertically up/down.

3. We use f.8 - f.16 and the shutter speed changes from 1/20 sec to 5-6 sec

depending on the light conditions, and the amount of blur we think is suitable

for the actual scene.

4. ISO settings 100 - 200 and we use lenses from 28 - 70 mm.

5. We always use handheld cameras, and practised a LOT !

This shot is from nov. 09. the birch in front was the only one left with yellow

leaves on. It was shining like a torch in the soaking wet woods ! To add scale,

Anne is included far out to the left :-)

Tech details : Lens 28 mm, ISO 100, f.13, 0,7 sec slow panning starting at the

bottom.

We hope this is helpful to you ! Anne & Runar :-)

Maybe to much info for the competition ;-)),Seriously very good job! I like a lot to see this little tree between the giants. Warm regards

Great light. Thank you for sharing the information. Interesting.

Kjempefint bilde. Har prøvd litt på dette, men det er vanskelig.
