Shelby is so adorable. You have managed to succeed photographically as well as in capturing her personality. The hint of pixie wing is a nice compositional element. A slight bit of fill on the shadow side of her face might have been nice but I still like it as is.

Deb, you not only have a great subject--and some GREAT shots--but I have to say that those skin tones from the D300 are about as good as I have seen. Did you have to manipulate the colors at all, or are those the colors you got right out of the camera?

It would seem when I shoot against a black background such as this, the skin tones are very good and all I need to do is sharpen a bit. However, when I shoot against white I really have to work hard to color balance as there is a greenish tint that I have to eliminate. I have tried everything to correct that issue (even using a gray card) but it still gives me grief.

 

Thanks for keeping an eye on my work, I value your thoughts so it's always nice to see you have visited.
