I have always been fascinated by winter. Although others view it as dark and foreboding, I see winter as opportunities for exploration. (Mind you, I've lived in south Florida for most of my life.)

Your photograph has validated my feelings. Aside from the incredible contrast and skilled composition, this photograph tells of what it is like to reach toward the light.
