ldavidson 4 Posted January 7, 2010 This is very dark and brooding. I really like Donna's comment, that didn't occur to me when I first looked at this, but it does have Jane Eyre atmosphere. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted January 9, 2010 I tend to agree with Donna and Linda......it is a very desolate image....yet I find it to be very good......it portrays a place I don't think I would want to inhabit for long....a hillside full of 'despair'............excellent Alf........truly moves the emotions....sincerely, Gail Link to comment
tibig 0 Posted January 9, 2010 I like the shot itself, the light on the desolate landscape, the combination of textures (snow, stone, moss). What I like less is the overly white patches of snow that look like the effect of a second sun situated somewhere behind the viewers left shoulder. As we happen to know our solar system has only one star, it means you took this picture not on Earth! Just joking. Kind regards, Tibi Link to comment

ray.koushik 0 Posted January 10, 2010 Very nice light and I like the composition. But the colors of moss on the stones and the snow seem a bit un-natural. are these colors as seen? compliments -koushik Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted January 10, 2010 GAIL Thank you for your very kind comments, it is a very bleak desolate location, but very wild and beautiful, but yeah, I wouldn't want to spend the night there! : - ) TIBI Thank you for stopping by and taking a look, I know it looks like it''s not from this world, but you should remember my name ALF .....Alien Life Form! But seriously, yeah you have a point. FALAK Thank you for stopping by, and for your very kind words. Much appreciated! KOUSHIK Thank you for your comments and observations, the colours are exaggerated by the HDR process, not to everyones taste, but I will consider posting a normal exposure of this image for comparison. Sincere Thanks to All Alf Link to comment
