Sumon, i immensely admire your skill at craft, your sense of beauty, your eye for interesting subjects, having been exposed to you with Twilight Sonata. Your future comments will be greatly regarded. Thx, dp.

Hi Donna, I very much like the expressive interaction between you and the (other:) artist in your colorful composition! It feels very 'alive' to me -- well done! Best regards, Marjolein

i'm so pleased, Marjolein, that you appreciate that the Artist/Subject is not alienated or plasticized in this photo; it was an engaging moment that brought the artist in the photo, the artist behind the camera, and the colorful paintings into the world of the living where they belong ; ) dp

A warm and interesting portrait. Personally, I would prefer a crop that cuts off everything to the left of the pole, as there is so much color on the right and so much white on the left that it feels too overwhelmed. By cropping out some of the left, it might ameliorate that feeling some. But, it's only an opinion, and you have to go with your vision.

i understand, Dave, that it can be a bit heavy on the inside and spacey on the outside. i guess to my eyes that capturing some of the outside of the gallery building shows how close to the sidewalk he really is; i feel like he looks too inside the gallery with the crop. I'm lucky that it's still "warm" this way. Always grateful for your vision, Dave!! dp

Great capture Donna! I love how he is engaged in this shot, and that he is surrounded by his colorful paintings! I love his work and would have not been able to walk away without making a purchase! Did you get his name per chance? Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)

Wow, Trish! So cool that you dug this one up! Secretly, this is a fave of mine too ;) the colors almost knocked me off my feet. and a very handsome young man. he was involved in some detail work, and i tried to not interrupt him, but he was sweet enough to engage me with that stunning smile... thanks Trisha; always so nice to hear from you ;-} dp
