I love this shot.  Great detail, and lighting, and wonderful sky in the background.  The only thing that bothered me a little was the fact that the strong shadow runs up the middle of the image, and divides it almost perfectly in half.  Maybe a slightly different perspective, but then that is only one opinion, and I am no professional.  Looks like a great place to go.

I really like the contemplative feel that the shadow brings to the desert element within your composition. Sand does tend to invoke feelings of contemplation in me generally so for me personally, the nice cloud rendition is superfluous to the composition. I would have cropped out the white clouds.
