hopsage 0 Posted December 24, 2009 Sunrise, from the summit of Diablo Mountain, the high point in thislittle-known fault-block range of Oregon's high desert country. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 25, 2009 Stunning composition, but a little too saturated for my tastes. Cheers. Link to comment
hopsage 0 Posted December 25, 2009 Ernest/Bernie - thanks for the visit and comments. Bernie: I hear you about the saturation, but this is pretty true to my memory of the experience. Not for everyone, I guess. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 25, 2009 No worries. It looks like a stunning location! This is exactly the kind of landscape I would like to get out into and do some photography. We have similar landscapes to this in Australia, but nothing anywhere near where I live, and in fact, most of them are in the middle of nowhere. Something I envy about the States is that you have so much amazing scenery so close to civilization. Link to comment
starvy 7 Posted December 4, 2012 Such delightful colours. This landscape has that feel of wanting to take the viewer where it belongs. When a composition does that you know it is splendid. Link to comment
jordanek 0 Posted December 4, 2012 Gorgeous light on the foreground rocks. I really like how the mountain range curves off to the left. Link to comment
hopsage 0 Posted December 4, 2012 Thanks for the kind words. This little range was one of my "secret" spots when I lived in Oregon. Not totally unknown, really, but in the middle of nowhere, as you can see. I used to go out there every spring, though usually before the wildflowers came out. The only other people I know who ever went there, went with me. Link to comment
