Tony... This is an image that is so indicative of your keen eye, love of nature and ability to present so that even the least of us can enjoy and marvel. Beautiful lighting, superb detail and excellent composure. Thanks for sharing this and all your travels with us this year, it's been a blessing and learning experience for me.

A Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year to you and your family... Mike

Very nice image Tony. I really like the feel of wilderness in this shot. I find it appears slightly tilted to the right though, i applied a 1.7 degree ccw and it looks much more leveled. Regards - michel

Michel I agree with your observation that it seems tilted. There must be distortion because I used the trees on the left and the black trunk on the right as my reference points. I will try the recommended CCW and see what I get.

What I realy like about this shot is the sense of the wildness of the terrain, the atmosphere that lends the possibility that you could be one of only a few people that have stood in that spot, or maybe even the only person!

All The Best & Kind Regards

Alf

Thanks for visiting. This is not HDR - I was able to capture it with a single image. With the Sigma 10-20 mm and the D300, I always have to under-expose to get the correct exposure.
