lukest 0 Posted July 15, 2013 Variation on a theme...personally I like this image best of the three, if only for the pose of the bird and the angle of the bent leg reflected in the surf which provides an interest counter element when considering the straight lines of the beak and other leg. Anyway, I would be interested in others' thoughts on this as well as framing, use of negative space, etc.... Thank you all for your comments on this series. -Steve Link to comment
irenelantman 0 Posted July 17, 2013 I agree with you that this is the nicest of the 3. The position is slightly different than one would normally position the sanderling and its reflection. It gives the feeling there is so much more underneath the watertable, which is the case: there is its food.Is there a possibility that you can get the back of the bird a bit more grey instead of white? The back seems to blend in with the background, but I guess it's just because I haven't got a very good screen. Link to comment
