This image is certainly an interesting one. As I looked through the other images, my sense is that this photographer is working from a sort of zen/mystical framework and here it is very evident IMO. There certainly are no particular complaints about the technical aspects except as to ones own biases. The image imparts a nice sense of tranquility and minimalistic aesthetic.

As to the minimalism, I have a sense here that we are looking at a composite and there are certainly others on-line, here and elsewhere, that feel like post is an important part of the image making. I could certainly be wrong, but there are some unresolved optical phenomenon here and in some others. The work is done well, however, I do feel this work relies heavily on imagery common on Japanese screen paintings and such. But well done and effective just the same.

I wish there was more work available somewhere as it is pretty clear that this is not a novice worker and the limited imagery available leaves a bit of an incomplete picture of this person's intent and interests.

Seeing this makes me very happy and relaxed. I like the simplicity and the chastity of this rendition. Congratulations to Renar, who turned out a "common scene" into a soft and original image radiating the ultimate beauty.

I agree with colleagues about the effective minimalisim by which you created this photograph. The soft tonality and the hint of ripples in the pond work very well.

Wonderful content, composition and exquisite finish.

I find the image draws one into a state of relaxation and repose. However, the lack of drama, and its apparent serenity, leaves me looking for something a little stronger to "hold" to.

An excellent picture with great composition and wonderful tones, but what I like best here is the "silent connection" between the blurry water ripples and the DOF blur in the falling leaves. Part of this blur may well be added at post-production, but I can't say, so that probably means it's well done enough, at least... I love the resulting image, which has indeed a strong feel of japanese minimalism... Very nice job, keep it up.

I like how the branches are in sharp focus, while the water rings are not. I think it makes for a real 'dreamy' feeling. Also, not being able to see where the water ends adds to this feeling. Nice!
