reza motaghedi 0 Posted December 18, 2009 nice photo. It would be much better if sky was cropped and it turned into a square format photo. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted December 19, 2009 I love this beach, and I love the sky, and I love the mood you've captured here; but, in my humble opinion, the shell spoils it. Somehow, even if it was naturally there, it just feels contrived. I swear I am trying to be really honest. I think the comp is an order of magnitude stronger cropped just above the shell. That's the Gulf Coast that I know and love. Your call though, Amigo; and I respect your artistic decision. Happy Holidays to you and yours! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
ewert02 0 Posted December 23, 2009 Thanks, Chris. I moved this shell about 20 yards from where I found it to include it in this shot. I appreciate your thoughtful opinion! Daniel Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 2, 2010 Daniel _ I do appreciate your honesty and overall I really like the image. Looking at the rest of the image and imagining it without the shell, I understand why you were motivated to put the shell there. The image needs something in the foreground. happy new year!
