I love this beach, and I love the sky, and I love the mood you've captured here; but, in my humble opinion, the shell spoils it. Somehow, even if it was naturally there, it just feels contrived. I swear I am trying to be really honest. I think the comp is an order of magnitude stronger cropped just above the shell. That's the Gulf Coast that I know and love. Your call though, Amigo; and I respect your artistic decision. Happy Holidays to you and yours! Cheers! Chris

Thanks, Chris. I moved this shell about 20 yards from where I found it to include it in this shot. I appreciate your thoughtful opinion!

Daniel _ I do appreciate your honesty and overall I really like the image. Looking at the rest of the image and imagining it without the shell, I understand why you were motivated to put the shell there. The image needs something in the foreground. happy new year!

I love the shell in the foreground; I like the detail it offers, along with the water bubbles. Very beautiful photo! Thank you for sharing. :)
