Guest Guest Posted December 17, 2009 Sometimes it's the most simple of images that are the most powerful. That is definitely the case here. Great diagonal leading line, right to the man and the horse. The composition is perfect as well. Very well done! Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted December 17, 2009 Outstanding image. Very well done Cornel. (I like the title too!) Regards, David Link to comment

luminous world 0 Posted December 28, 2009 I like the image, not crazy about the cutesy title. I'd have removed the footsteps; i find them distracting and although the title suggests the photographer's intent was to demonstrate the act of traveling, i'd prefer the solitary image without the footsteps which opens up the image to different interpretations as to how they got there, where they're headed, etc. I like the fact that the photographer left so much negative space between the tree and subjects rather than outside, it works well this case I think.Congrats on POW. KyleE 0 Posted December 28, 2009 I think the image is interesting. Strong contrast and great use of negative space. I disagree about the footprints though. I think because the person and the animal are obviously in motion still it would look strange without the foot prints. If they were standing still then removal of the footprints might work.In this instance the footprints reinforce the feeling of movement and also break up the open space just a little bit and add texture to the scene. gordonjb 10,860 Posted December 28, 2009 Why stop at cloning out the footprints ? If you cloned out the man, the horse and the tree and removed the vignetting there would be absolutely no distractions. The idea has been done many times before and often to better effect. There is not really much of anything here to critique, maybe the vignetting could have been less heavy handed or more heavy handed, as stands it strikes me as non-committal. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 29, 2009 Sound to me very simple but an image with very great light and composition. Link to comment
