mark_newton1 0 Posted February 4, 2003 I like this one. I know absolutely squat about pinhole cameras, but assume they dont have DX coding :-). You say f245, how is that worked out? I would have liked to see a little more DOF, seeing that the eye leads so strongly into the background. I like the overall effect you have here, and the subject is great. Link to comment
ted_fullerton 0 Posted February 4, 2003 Mark, The aperture is fixed by the size of the pinhole (.17 mm in this case). More precisely, it's an f/235, but I think in terms of the 245 because that's the closest number on the conversion scale I use). There would be more DOF, but everything was moving ;)... greg_adkins4 0 Posted February 6, 2003 I was contemplating the sharpness until I discovered it was a pinhole image, and a good one at that. Did the pinhole come from the manufacturer or is this one of your own? I know that roughness around the edge of the pinhole can affect sharpness, but I still like to make my own. Nice work! ted_fullerton 0 Posted March 21, 2004 Greg, The pinhole and camera come from Zero Image in Hong Kong. I have two cameras from there, and can't say enough good things about them. Zernike at Zero Image laser drills his pinholes, I believe. Link to comment
