dave_holland 0 Posted December 7, 2009 I wanted to reproduce the cold feel of this damp cave. Not sure if Iwas totally successful -- condensing breath was barely visible. Thiscave is a completely natural lavatube -- amazing to be there.... Link to comment
witness 0 Posted December 7, 2009 Great shot. I like what you have here. I tried a blue overlay to cool things down a bit but not sure if it helps or detracts? Link to comment
dave_holland 0 Posted December 9, 2009 Good thought, Mark, thanks for the input. I've often found that auto WB over-corrects. For example, when you want cold snow, it helps to mimic the blue snow that you normally get from reflected sky. Here i have two light sources, and the auto-WB seems to be correcting to 5500, recognizing the dominant flash. That makes the incandescent light from the headlamp more orange... Cheers, Dave Link to comment
witness 0 Posted December 9, 2009 The composition and textures are so strong......IMO you can arbitrarily select a color temp and it will work. Create several versions....dilemma solved. :-) Link to comment
