RickDB 10 Posted November 29, 2009 II - Intricately detailed tiles cover the interior surfaces - looks so fresh that it is hard to believe construction was started over 400 yerars ago. Link to comment

RickDB 10 Posted December 1, 2009 ...The first mosque I have ever visited - the detailed ceramic tile decoration still looks like new! Much the same challenges photographically as with churches and cathedrals (large dynamic range, towering stuctures, and no tripods allowed). The interior lighting is different with the huge circular arrays of lights at low level and many suspension cables, presenting new problems. With a manual focus lens I found it was easy to get focus confirmation on one of the cables, so LV was much more reliable, but of course difficult to use without a tripod. Thanks for taking the time to comment - Turkey is a wonderful country to visit, I can thoroughly recommend it. Cheers, RickDB Link to comment
