stp 6 Posted November 27, 2009 While I use digital cameras most of the time, this is where I would use film; sensors simply can't make good tonal transitions when the sun is so prominent in the photo (this is why I see a white ball surrounded by a couple of yellow doughnuts). The red glare on the water is, I think, also a result of sensor capture. The centering of the sun is helped by the foreground rocks and the large rock (I presume) on the lower edge. It's a strong statement about the setting sun, better done IIMO) with film (digital will probably get there eventually). Link to comment
