A pesto. Antonio Link to comment
human images 4 Posted November 14, 2009 very nicely done Giuseppe. Your choice of angle is judicious and elegant, and again, invites the viewer to step into the hypnotic frame. I feel the rather ominous dramatic sky competes somewhat with the magical geometry of place. The single bicycle rider is so fortunately placed, a beautiful accident. If you permit a suggestion; cropping half an inch from left frame would make this already fine picture, even richer. Link to comment
jmarcraveau 0 Posted November 14, 2009 Great perspective and sky. Very nice composition. Beautiful image. Regards, Jean-Marc Link to comment

Bravo. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted November 15, 2009 I think that this picture will come to my mind in the future, when I will be thinking about a great B&W photo! The beautiful tones, the composition, the contrasts, the shapes : everything! The perspective is beautiful, and the sky is outstanding! (being Dutch I especially like dramatic skies too :) Congratulations on your very beautiful photo! With kind regards, Marjolein Link to comment
wieslawmamon 0 Posted November 15, 2009 the photo taken with great care and taste, I like the contrast between the order and lightness which dominates the tarrace and the impression of dissarray and heaviness of the sky but the most striking thing here for me is the sense of space intensified by the presence of the biker within the frame. You've manage to attain the level of elegance rarely seen in other compositions, sincere compliments, ciao. Link to comment
pyndt 0 Posted November 15, 2009 Very nice shot. However I too would have cropped a bit of the left side or moved the camera a bit to the right (if that was possible). Best regards Henrik Link to comment

giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted November 16, 2009 I would like to thank you all one by one for your comments and suggestions. Terrazza Mascagni is a landmark of my hometown Livorno in Tuscany: as you may guess, this vast,"metaphysical" square that opens to the seascape has been and is a favorite place for photographers. While preparing some new editions of my works for a not so distant printed publication I stepped into some photos that - imho - had been quickly post produced and do not meet my actual standards. This shot is one of them. I thank you by heart for the time spent reviewing and commenting and for the good suggestions given:Carlos, Henrik: I will surely, seriously consider cropping a bit on the left, although I had left that itty bitty balustrade in order to physically "contextualize" the shot. A "metaphysical" ciao from an almost completely "flu recovered" Giuseppe Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted November 16, 2009 Tecnicamente perfetta e piacevolissima da guardare. Complimenti Giuseppe! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 16, 2009 I join the line ...;-)) the geometric space is wonderful and invites the viewer to observe the details. The different repetition of forms of the rail and floor is very rich. The only figure on the bike enhances the good DOF and light . Very nice photo, in well chosen B/W execution . Link to comment
