pepmir 0 Posted November 2, 2009 Hello Giuseppe Almost always you are right but now I think there is only half woman :-)) Excellent work!! Best regards, my friend Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted November 3, 2009 yes, you are right! Thank you for your appreciation. This is the 2nd version of this work, re-edited and cropped after some "numeric" complaints. Ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
jmarcraveau 0 Posted November 3, 2009 I like the composition with the main subject being ignored by the others. Nice image. Regards, Jean-Marc Link to comment
je ne regrette rien 67 Posted November 3, 2009 I like it. Aesthetics 5, originality 6. Good juxtaposition of the three subjects and of the poster. Only one remark: the contrast is really high. Don't you think that the photo could benefit from slight softer tones? PS wonderful expression of the man in the foreground! Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted November 3, 2009 and for the comments. Luca, I will try a "softer" version and see what comes out, although some of my last shots have been post produced with contrast higher than usual in order to give more dramatic appearance. Thanks a lot for visiting and commenting, ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
je ne regrette rien 67 Posted November 3, 2009 I did not think of the intentionality of contrast. In that case it could be more, instead of less. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted November 3, 2009 Very good street candid and interpretation, Giuseppe. Wouldn't change anything...Saluti - El Link to comment
johncrosley 1 Posted November 3, 2009 I have several photos on this theme, which you may recognize, but you definitely have outdone me; this is the new reference. Bravo! john John (Crosley) Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted November 3, 2009 thank you for stopping by and sharing your point of view.Luca, contrast and "intentionality" are surely an interesting matter of discussion: as a quick reference I'd like to point you out to the works of Mario Giacomelli (http://www.mariogiacomelli.it/), a great photographer and artist whose productions are among my favourites;El, this work has been quite a treat to post produce, because its framing and composition had been decided some moments before I pressed the shutter, but the right tone and contrast - well, they have been very difficult to choose and post produce. Eventually I decided to push the contrast till I almost lost (larger, printed version) details in the dark areas. Thanks for your appreciation;John your works on contemporary urban life and your research on geometry, symmetry and harmony are a sure reference for all of us. I am honored by your comment. At first I had decided to title this one "Three Ages of Man Under Feminine Eyes", but that would have been such an explicit forced interpretation by the author that I preferred to post it with a neutral title and leave to the viewers any interpretation they could extrapolate from this work. Thanks so muchGiuseppe Link to comment

nanny 0 Posted November 4, 2009 Very nice; I like the contrast how it is. The moment is special because you captured the man's expression in the first plan and this makes the whole difference in this shot. tchau! MF Link to comment

nanny 0 Posted November 5, 2009 It is a pleasure to look everyday to a new photo where I learn about composition, and everything else. Your portfolio gives me this chance. tchau! MF Link to comment
hossein 0 Posted November 12, 2009 in fact "3 generations 1 woman". i havn't seen the 1st version yet, but i guess it could be better if it was cropped from the top and add more space to lower part Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted December 8, 2009 I like the composition of this, Giuseppe. It's a quick study of people's expressions when they think they are anonymous. Link to comment
