This is a fantastic shot and it resonates with your biography statment about being compassionate to the young very nicely. I love what you quoted...I will remember it, so will I remember the complexe mix of feeling this girl is expressing. It is heart warming in a wonderful way.

She is my heart.....My wish for her is to be strong, proud, smart and compassionate, I could go on and on. Mostly I just want to be there anytime she needs me.

The b&w, The tones, the pose, mimics of her, everything is fantastic. It's the most casual child photo I've ever seen, yet its the most beautiful one. Usually they dress up the child with colorful dresses, put him/her on a chair, and order; "SMILE!". Then they got a artificial smile with a "whats going on here" look :) . But this one is really fantastic. I wish a good and fortunate life for her.
