This image was immediately very appealing to me, and I don't think it

was just because it is of my daughter. Comments?

I understand why. The viewer is well served to look at the eyes. They are not directed at the camera and in that lies the appeal - it is not posed. You captured time. A special moment. This photo will be even better when she is 18.

The image is just a bit too grainy for a portrait of a little girl. I would use something less grainy. I know it's cute, but the hair is also a bit too messy for me. Keep trying and take lots of pictures.

It looks as though you caught her just at the right time, the photo draws you in to look at her eyes. The hair is kind of messy but imo it adds to the image. Shes looks like a little model in waiting.

Nice sharp photo, but I think a bit too much grain fro the subject. If you use Tri-X, you might try developing in Microdo-X 1:3 rather than D-76.
