Guest Guest Posted January 23, 2003 I don't think you're too close. All i wouls suggest was moving the camera over to the left a little so that we can see at least half her nose... and maybe try and get a little highlight in the eye. This shows promise though Link to comment
mmarengo 0 Posted January 25, 2003 Agree with the previous comment. And a tad more sharp would help, since here you don't need soft focus, and would help to recognize the image better if it is more detached from the background. Link to comment
hayward 0 Posted January 26, 2003 Original image. Maybe some more light in that eye is in order. Link to comment
josphy 0 Posted January 28, 2003 Hi, I like what I think you're going for here and I've tried to do similar photos myself, but haven't mastered it yet (I'm pretty much a beginner). I agree w/ what the others have said that the photo should be like clinically sharp -- maybe a smaller aperture? Also, I think the background is distracting. Show half the nose. And I don't really know much about lighting, so someone else could advise you better, but I think you want to position the lighting so that every wrinkle looks like tree bark. I would try this one again if I were you -- really love the idea!!! Link to comment
