Guest Guest Posted October 29, 2009 Your highlights are broad and somewhat compressed, which is part of the high key effect you seem to be trying for, but the hair and ear are a little blown. You've got good blacks in the pupils and hair, but the contours are not as definite as they might be at jaw and between figure and ground. Your lighting is contrasty and usually that entails cleaning up the skin, removing minor imperfections that wouldn't be noticed if you met this fellow in person. The out-of-focus chest is looking particularly pimply. In standard portraiture, if you can see the white of the eye above or below the iris, it's over the top. You have to decide whether here it's simply intense and emotive, or aggressive. Link to comment
iavor_paskalev 0 Posted October 31, 2009 Hi Gareth, I will crop some area from above, almost every hair. The strong look will continue to stay. My best, Iavor Link to comment
