Thanks much.

I don't know about you, but seeing these creatures in cages makes me very sad. They don't have enough interaction with humans or other creatures to keep them from being very bored. And boredom is death. I wished I had wire cutters to set him free.

On the other hand, it's probably the only way I'd get to see him.

Very confusing.

An odd and intriguing picture, Alberta, as can only come from your fervid and fertile imagination. The parrot's eye holds the whole concoction together. Clever bird.

Thanks. Hadn't thought of myself as "fervid" but now that you mention it . . .

Yes, it was the eye that got me too.

He watched patiently while I adjusted some settings, shot and reshot. And when I was done he gave me a good scolding. Noisy things. Pretty, but very noisy.

Cheers ~

Beautiful and tender portrait, dear Alberta. The expression and colors are unique. Excellent shot! Kind regards!

Thank you. Hard locking in focus between such close-together bars on the cage.

I guess he's well cared for but I feel guilty every time I look at him :(

Cheers ~

The focus on the eye really makes this one. That eye cuts through the almost abstract blotches of colour and shape to reach out and touch me. The hard eye and the soft bars are an interesting approach , making room for more flights on the imagination than a standard take on a bird in a cage.

Thanks. You just know when you get one right. It's such a great feeling - keeps me taking more photos and setting up new challenges.

Happy Halloween to you! Dressing up the dogs?
