gsphotoguy 3 Posted January 18, 2003 As you'll see if you look here, I love this kind of photography. The interaction of museum patrons with the art work is really interesting. The combination of the woman looking away from the "modest" statue is well done. One comment, please upload images that are smaller. I almost overlooked this except that I saw a thumbnail and wanted to see it larger. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted January 18, 2003 Dave, Interesting contrast here with the 'nude' facing toward the camera and the fully clothed person turned away. So who's the 'modest' one? Nice cropping by the way. Best, LM. Link to comment
mexi 0 Posted January 19, 2003 I also almost over loked this one as an over exposed nude, but it looks very good in the thumnail. Link to comment
koska 0 Posted January 19, 2003 Looks interesting. It's rather unfortunate that you've decided to upload it so large. It really doesn't help others "see" the photo... quite opposite... The size on the "add a comment" page is big enough for me to like this photo... I agree with Len, great cropping. Link to comment
jfnahas 1 Posted January 21, 2003 This is a good image; however, could you please re-size and re-post it. It is too big. Link to comment
touchel berne 0 Posted January 29, 2003 The size of the posted image is ridiculous. I had to save it to my computer and bring it into photoshop to get it to a point where I could see the entire photo at once. I want to like this photo more than I do. The problem for me is that the idea of the photo is a bit of a cheat. The clothed woman turned a way from the nude is coincidental. The clothed real woman isn't reacting to the statue, she's just standing there presumably looking at something to the right. I love the genre though, museum shots, check out Elliot Erwitt and Abelardo Morrell, both of whom have put out books on the theme. Link to comment
