The color in those stones is amazing. You could have a good abstract just from a crop to the foreground and a strong intimate with a crop at the far shore of the lake. As a full landscape, of course, it's fascinating.

Details: 3 exp HDR - circ-polarizer, auto bracket d300 simga 10-20mm - taken yesterday.

John and Shawn - thanks. Went back to the same spot this afternoon, choppy with waves - light was not golden so I tried other types of images. Currently downloading them but not sure I will get any up to PN today - very tiring day with a 5 am start.

what a gorgeous image Tony. i love the colors of the pebbles in the foreground and the golden light on the mountain. Glad you were able to capture this when you did. Those moments don't always come back and they don't hang around waiting for you... ;-) Looking forward to see your other shots when you get around to upload them. Sorry i cannot offer any criticism or suggestion i cannot imagine how this shot could be improved... Cheers - michel

Just when I thought that nature photos couldn't get much better, they did. This is a photographic masterpiece.

You have a great eye for nature especially. Good eye for color and the patterns it can make. Love the mood that you bring to your photos. Are those dark lens spots in the upper sector of this image? Nice port!

Cheers

Why mess with perfection? Because I'm jealous that's why. Perhaps a horizon leveling? :-)

Great shot!

Rueda : gracia, gracias!

I am looking out my motel window and it is misty, damp and cold and I have to do another 9 hour drive to get to Winnipeg (Manitoba) as I continue my long drive home to Quebec.

those small rocks and the coloured leaves in the foreground are very beautiful. I think I could spend a few hours there taking pictures.

Thank you very much for your support and generosity. The stones when dry are colorful but they come alive when wet. Today I am in Winnipeg (Manitoba) resting up before continuing my journey East towards home.

Great photo! Love the color and clearness of the water. The warm light on the mountain draws it all together. I am very pleased that you have presented this lovely spot for all to see.

Rich, serene, unusual perspective - this should be a poster! I really like the way the mountian's reflection in the water creates a bridge from the middle ground to the back of the photo. It adds an essential sense of continuum to a composition that has very different elements.

I see I'm at the end of an extremely long list of comments. Chances are that anything I might try to say already has been said (and perhaps more than once.

This is an extraordinarily beautiful photograph. It is about as perfect a landscape shot as I could imagine.

My sincere compliments on your amazing talent,

michael
