rick_bogacz 0 Posted January 18, 2003 James...the light source here is a window facing north. Link to comment
hudsonphotos 0 Posted January 18, 2003 Nothing to critique. Exposure on window light is great, exposure on darker side is great, expression and emotions are great. I can't find anything wrong with it. You should submit that to competitions! Link to comment
r.m. 8 Posted January 18, 2003 Rick, I agree; this is a beautiful portrait. Gorgeous tones, nice light, excellent composition. My only concern is that it appears to have been overly sharpened. Most noticeable around the baby's right eye, and the woman's nose. Great photo. Link to comment
iason_faennos 0 Posted January 18, 2003 Freelancers usually try to connect a photo with a story, i think. And what they do is right. This photo does not need a story, either. Link to comment
mmarengo 0 Posted January 19, 2003 Second time I'm ending up on one of your photos, today. It is simply great... maybe a little too oversharpened, it may gain from a softer look, as long as you don't loose the texture of the skin, and the darker shades on the cheeks of the baby. I bet the original print is even better. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 19, 2003 I Love this picture. Wonderful faces, good composition. One little flaw (?): the woman's face seems to come out of nowhere. I miss a tiny bit of light on her neck or chest. Apart from that: really beautiful. Link to comment
erin_____grasshopper__rice 0 Posted January 20, 2003 Very Nice. The amount of affection that radiates out is immense. Link to comment
charodiez 0 Posted January 21, 2003 I like the way the mother protects her baby, and the way this baby look at us. Link to comment
uber photography 0 Posted January 24, 2003 Nice close crop. Good composition, the eyes really grab the attention, then the mothers face lead the viewer back to the baby's face. Good soft lighting. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted January 29, 2003 Lovely image. I know it has been done a thousand times, but each new life is a miracle redone, and your capture of the love of this (mother?) for the child is apparent. Link to comment
ali najm 0 Posted February 7, 2003 the light in the baby's eye telling about futuer very good photo for me i love it it gives me insparation Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted February 17, 2003 Great tight composition. Perfect expression on the baby. I don't need to see the eyes of the woman to know what she is thinking about or feeling. A good shot. I think you pushed the shadows too dark..(most noticable in the baby's hair and eyes). Link to comment
patrick gibney 0 Posted February 18, 2003 Lovely touching photo. Dare I say it but I get the feel of the Mona Lisa from the baby!! A smile without a smile! The babys right eye in the photo seems to me to draw the corner of her mouth upwards, the illusion of the smile!! Well done Link to comment
tholte 16,782 Posted February 21, 2003 lovely portrait, nicely composed and well lit. The expressions of both subjects are compelling. Link to comment
barmijo 0 Posted March 19, 2003 The childs eyes and the mothers embrace make this a classic shot. Excellent work! Link to comment
