First light at Ranten (4655 ft.) on Norefjell mountain, Norway. Dec. 2008.

It was one of the coldest winter mornings I`ve ever experienced and

while waiting for the light to happen I had to ski back and forth to keep

warm. It was absolutely worth the wait.

i think this is very interesting.

the prospective is amazing and i really like the fact that it is black and white.

Great composition. The foreground is interesting, and the lines lead they eye back to that incredible mountain set against the dark sky -- wow!

This was actually a quite challenging capture due to the extreme cold and when I got home several tries with different custom WB just didn`t seem right.

So, the only choice was to convert to b&w. I think it is a natural born b&w ;-)
