what a beautifully crafted landscape shot this is. I like the contrast and the clarity of the image. The foreground driftwood just draw the eye to the inside of the photo. Nice light and great feel/atmosphere. My only minor comment is your horizon appears very slightly tilted to the right and there is a minor distortion on the horizon. But all very minor. This is a great shot Tony. Well done. Regards - michel

Maurizio, Fabrizio and Michel - your generosities are very much appreciated.

Michel - very constructive comments. managed to milk this scene with 5 quite different images. I was packing up and heading back to my van when I saw a couple with a surf board come down to the water so naturally I stuck around for a few more shots.

Tony, this looks like the Athabasca River to me. Jasper is one of my most favorite places, I have spent a lot of time there. I love the cool, wild, uspoiled beauty that you have captured so well here. I like the way the dead trees lead the eye into the water, mountains and sky. Best wishes, Linda

Thank you very much for your generosity. I am currently overnighting in Fort St.John (BC) along the Alaska Highway before continuing my trip to Watson lake (Yukon). Thanks also for mentioning the river name which I think you are correct. I was well focused on the beauty of Jasper and trying to take photos and not making note of the names of places and rivers. After stopping frequently for photos, I started to pass up photo ops simply because I started to be overwhelmed. I think I could have spent a week there. Warm regards

This photo has such a nice flow to it with the eyes leading from the trees, to the water, mountain and finally the sky. You even got a nice reflection on the mountain, Love it!
