guillaume_francois 0 Posted September 13, 2009 The 'way' in which the fabric reveals the figure in the classical scupture is what makes it so pleasing; it is a revelation by means of concealment... The garment in your picture however, seems to be separate from the figure, it hides more than it reveals, it is an entity of it's own rather than an emanation of the figure, making the expression of the model's body perhaps less harmonious, fragmented in hands, thighs and calves. Nevertheless, seeing both image side by side is very stimulating. Thank you. Link to comment
