Guest Guest Posted September 25, 2009 I think you got a great read on the colors, and the blue against the red works really nicely. You also captured the scale really well. It's a really bold, eye-catching photo. I've been very tuned into distortion lately, so I do notice a bit of a curve to the line where the ground meets the wall and wonder if you like that or would prefer it straight. Though I like working with distortion in many instances, here I might consider how it would look with the perspective straightened. It's interesting that the girl's (?) arms obscure her face. Was that an intentional decision or just how the jump unfolded? Just looked again and realize that her face is, in fact, there, a little camouflaged by the background, I guess. Wow. Glad I looked again! Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted September 26, 2009 Thank you Fred for your thoughtful comments. It is a long story behing the hawk, that I simply don't have the typing skills to bore you with. But, we have done 2 shoots at the hawk.I actually DID straighten the image, but as you pointed out, it is still off...just slightly...aargh! I chose this jump shot, because of the arms in flight look and the slight blur of feet. This is something that I could spend hours shooting, but with my 2 little ones, I have to keep the sessions short. I haven't nailed the hawk shot that makes me crow yet. I will have to try again. Here is one from the first, with no flash in late afternoon sun. Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted October 4, 2009 So well seen and captured, Tiff. As already stated, "eye catching". Well done, my friend. Regards, Lawrence. Link to comment
