brad nelson 0 Posted January 11, 2003 Thanks Jim, it sells 4-1 over the original also. Link to comment
james_stangroom 0 Posted January 22, 2003 I remember seeing your original, and I like this version a lot more. The grey background makes the players stand out even more. In the original, everything was so crisp and colourful, the players were almost lost in the background. Link to comment
r_scott_steube 0 Posted January 23, 2003 Where's the ball..? Otherwise an outstaning image! Link to comment
brad nelson 0 Posted January 23, 2003 The ball is on it's way to right center field on the first pitch of the game! Link to comment
perry_lawrence 0 Posted January 25, 2003 I didn't see the orig. but this really works. Very good idea. Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted February 1, 2003 My daughter calls him "The Witch" for the way he moves across the outfield of Yankee Stadium, denying our team doubles and triples. Good work with the Photoshop magic. My guess is that in the original your slugger probably got lost in the background clutter -- so the desaturation does a nice job of separating him. Link to comment
southernman 0 Posted February 4, 2003 The sharpness and colors are great. Hope that Chrissy from Ohio doesn't see it. Good Shot. Terry Link to comment
glenn_mcgloughlin 0 Posted February 6, 2003 Very nice, I live in Seattle and have seen Ichiro many times. Link to comment
pabloconrad 0 Posted February 6, 2003 This is more of a sports action photo or computer manipulation since you used a computer to alter the original scene. Link to comment
brad nelson 0 Posted February 7, 2003 Thanks Paul, I am sure you are the ONLY person that thinks my photo only deserved a 3 for Orig. and 3 for Asth. What were you thinking on this? Link to comment
ben_ili 0 Posted February 8, 2003 Wheter it be digitally enhanced or not IT IS STILL A GREAT SHOT. Quit dragging people down with this digital hating. It is the future of photography wheather you like it or not. Well planned and great job with the photo. I must learn how to use photoshop. Link to comment
michaelzaugg 0 Posted February 14, 2003 good work with colour, the third guy would deserve some colour as well in my opinion Link to comment
brad nelson 0 Posted February 15, 2003 The "third guy" is the umpire. He dresses in grey and black so I thought he wouldn't stand out to much. :) Link to comment
matt_l.1 0 Posted March 10, 2003 Being a mariner's fan, i like it a lot. the sharpness and great tones are great. nice. Link to comment
dave_harris_fried 0 Posted March 17, 2003 While I love digital manipulation, I dont think that it belongs in the realm of photojournalism. Digital, yes, but not digital manipulation. All the things the people say are very true about this image. But you still had to remove color from one part of the image to focus attention to another. It makes the image stand out-definately. But I don't see this as a "photojournalism" image. (beyond that, I dig it...) Link to comment
brad nelson 0 Posted March 18, 2003 Oh, I actually never said it was photojournalism. I once accidentaly put it in the wrong category and some guy went off on me. Link to comment
