Leonard-just-Leonard 8 Posted August 26, 2009 having spot metering on my new camera is really nice for this type of dark critter shot in intense sunlight on the water. Link to comment
rkyobo 0 Posted February 20, 2010 I really love this picture - what a cute beaver! I am thinking of buying a Nikon Coolpix P90 - do you recommend it? Link to comment
Leonard-just-Leonard 8 Posted February 21, 2010 I definately recommend the P90. you can see the improvement in image quality in my portfolio from the s10 I started out with. I found the 624mm Optical zoom amazing and when doubled with Digital zoom it boggled my mind what reach it has. Sure a "real" DSLR would have been nice, but you cannot beat the combination of price and features for an avid amatuer such as myself... and for less than $500.00 Canadian dollars in June of 2009. The best new features to me were the ability to control Apeture and Shutter speed along with Spot metering compared to a pure point and shoot such as the s10 with no real control over anything. I learned a huge amount about digital photos with the s10 and managed to squeeze off a couple good shots with it ;) Link to comment
