Guest Guest Posted July 31, 2009 Dean, This is a wonderful photograph showing the emotional relationship between girl and animal. I can feel in her expression how much she cares for this horse. The warm colors help convey this feeling. Taylor is a beautiful girl. Her light make-up works very well in this situation and with how she is dressed. Your focus is very good and the lighting works well to create the mood of the close relationship. The circular composition running down her arm, up the horse's bridal to his eyes, to her eyes and down again, work well to keep the viewer's eyes within the picture. Her skin tones are very good. The dress works well in this setting. It is feminine, yet not too fancy. There are only a couple of things that bother me. There is a lot of dark area on the left side of the picture that could be cropped. There is a reflection on a nail's head just behind the horse's left ear that draws my attention. Taylor's left hand is behind the horse's "chin" and in shadow so that it appears that she is missing part of her hand. I think her fingers should have been showing. A little could be cropped off the top, but it really doesn't bother me that much. Nice shot, Mark Link to comment
