Hi Charles,

 

nice capture of this spectacular waterfall! I just think the bridge/waterfall are a little bit too much to the left side of the frame, but this might just be personal preference. Would be nice to see a different crop, if this is a crop at all! Otherwise good balance between lights and shadows.

Played around with crop but decided to go with this one because of some trees and leaves on the left that were way blown out and really killing the picture. Otherwise I would probably be more centered.

I too like the composition. The hotspots on the tress are a tad distracting, but still acceptable

Charles: Good composition. I agree with others the hopspots on the trees is not appealing, Are you shooting in RAW? I find now that I am able to get better overall exposures when I shoot in RAW and make the adjustments with Abode Camera Raw. Tom

Having been to Multnomah Falls and photographing many times I know the difficulty you had in composing this shot. I believe you did as good a job as you could.
