Can you go back and take it again with more depth of field? Either way, I gave it high scores because I am "rather fond of it" too. His facial expression is wonderful.

Technically is not bad at all. The important part of the puppet (his head) is quite in focus (at least with this pixel resolution). It reminds me of Pinocchio, left alone in a corner by thge puppet-master, and the spotlight on his torso (with the head is shadow) reinforces this idea of solitude. If you have the chance of re-shoot it, the only thing I would change is detaching more the head from the background.
