Shapes on the Roof of Gaudi

This very interesting composition caught my eye with the "hills" and roof decorations. The people and the more traditionally styled building in the background help give some sense of scale without weakening the overall composition.

 

I am bothered by the blown-out sun which draws my eyes to the sky and away from the buildings. Not much to be done about that: looks like you had to choose between loosing highlight detail or not having any detail in the building surfaces. Also, I think that you cropped out a bit too much on the bottom, the sweeping building curve is almost lost. At least to me is is a slight distraction.

 

I suppose now shall have to put Spain on my must-visit-someday list.

Very nice interpretation. What caught my eye are the plain tracks in the sky which at least for me add to this composition in a very positive way. Regards, Vadim
