I'll agree. A trifle underexpose, but a difficult call. Another 1/2 stop would have brightened up the foreground/subject, but would it have overexposed the sun streak on the water. I hope you bracketed, if so can we have another look + 1/2 stop?

That streak is my favorite element of the photo. It give the picture a sense of motion, at the same time, lending to the finality of the scene. You can, without any efort at all, imagine this once great vessel following the path of the sun until it ran aground never to move again.

Great composition.

Many Thanks for the comments above. I have corrected some of the levels adjustment made to the scan and here is included a lighter version. I appreciate the feedback a lot!

Both versions are very good. The original would be my first choice because it looks more natural, and gives the impression of twilight.

I like the composition and the overall light of this photo. It really conveys the mood of dereliction and sadness of a ship that once plied the hostile and stormy waters of that far away region near Cape Horn

Me gusta más la versión con más brillo que has subido después, además consigues otro efecto y es la mayor saturación de colores, sobre todo el rojo lo cual mejora notablemente la foto.

La composición perfecta.

Nice shot. It might be even better with a more interesting sky, but I guess the weather doesn't always cooperate.

Beautiful details here ! I love the sand and bottom of the boat... A real pleasure to see the textures there...

Then, the more my eyes go up in the frame, the more boring it becomes. I like your angle and I like the light on the see, but again, the sky is too strong, because too bright. Would have been a really fantastic shot with dark clouds up there - 5 minutes before a huge storm ! If you have any chance, I think you may want to try reshoot before a storm. The heavy weather would complement nicely the moody bottom half of the shot.

Regards.
