Lovely light and composition, Ray. I like the lighter bits top right and bottom left that form a sort of "x" shape with the receding lines and shadow patterns of the front façade.

 

 

Really nice capture...the texture really stands out. Very fine. I didn't get to see this scene at night...what a shame...even a Canuck can be moved by this!

Really appreciate all the great comments that this shot has envoked. This is one our National treasures and to me it was a real experience being able to photograph it. The Alamo occupies a square block of downtown San Antonio but in the hearts of the Texans I met it occupies so much more. And so it should...RAY
